To kick start that new idea you must first tackle your fear, your spouses fear, your neighbors fear and so on. Friends and family are more fearful than you are when you have a new idea. Your natural instinct is to first
run it by these individuals who love you but they are just as frightened as you are to change and new ideas are intimidating even if they are the next big invention, business or website idea.
New ideas are important and are the very core of our survival as human beings. We need new and fresh things to try, taste, do and use so the very first thing to remember when you have an idea is to remind yourself of how important your are and what life would be like if you didn't pursue this idea. Pat yourself on the back. Secondly, if you strongly believe your idea is worth pursuing you must do extensive research to make sure your idea is not already being sold in stores or about to be. Ask yourself " What problem is my idea solving"? Engage yourself in your idea before you start to spend any money on the new project planning and development stage, really engage your friends and family until you hear those magic words, "that's a good idea but"...when you hear these words it's likely you have something great but your listeners are not sure what steps to take next. This is when you start to put money behind your idea. If your idea is a business or an invention take the first step give your new idea a legal name!
